Lightweight Zebrawood & Pine Bucksaw
Availability: In-stock; photos are of the exact saw you'll receive.
For those who practice bushcraft, cutting tools are essential, and the saw is one of the most useful tools in the woods. A few of the features of our bucksaw include comfortable handle contours, an arched center brace for added cutting clearance, and a blade which folds into the handles for quick & easy field assembly.
Whether you're canoeing, camping, clearing a trail or bucking up logs for the cabin woodstove, this saw is truly dependable. It collapses down to a compact size, fitting easily into a backpack. Covered under our heirloom warranty. Made in the USA
*Note: This particular saw has the goal of lightening up a bucksaw while still keeping it strong. A pine saw by itself would be very light, but in order to make it stronger it is bonded with zebrawood veneers and has zebrawood reinforced joints. The project was a success, with the 21" version of the saw weighing in at 13 ounces.
- Blade: Bahco peg tooth
- Tension System: twist style, mil-spec parachute cord with a wooden toggle
- Closure System: the blade folds into slits cut into the handles, and is kept closed by lashing the crossbar and handles together with the side laces. No tools required for assembly in the woods.
- No carrying case necessary. Snugly fits in the 25" Frost River saw bag or many old tent-pole bags.
- Weight: 13 oz
