As of October 26th, 2022: We're opening the order for a small run of custom Mountaineers. Availability is limited.
- Estimated wait time: 1 to 4 weeks +/-
- The steel for this particular run is 3/32" O1 tool steel. This is thinner than our more commonly used 1/8". 3/32 can still be batonned for light wood splitting, yet it excels more at slicing chores than the thicker 1/8". 3/32" is Cody's personal preference for this model.
- All of these will have a flats logo, as the spine logo is too tight of a fit on the thinner steel.
The Mountaineer is one of our versatile general-use bushcraft knives. The blade is long enough for batonning through wood logs and slicing meat/food, but is also short enough for controlled woodworking. The nearly spear-pointed blade paired with the ergonomic coke bottle contoured handle make this knife excellent for use in the wilderness.
